a 200 year-old restored farmhouse set in several acres of land, with top-notch
views of the Luberon Massif. As might be expected of an artist, a eye for aesthetics
is highly prevalent, and the décor of the hotel is stylish, expertly blending
respect for tradition with clean contemporary furnishings.
The 9m x 7m infinity pool overlooks the spectacular scenery and serves to stir many a creative inclination from the guests, as well as being a focal point in what is a peaceful haven of a little hotel two miles from the commune of Cruis. The surrounding space is certainly not little, but the hotel is: two double rooms and one single room are found in the farmhouse, each with their own entrance to the building and either a private terrace or independent access to the spacious grounds, as well as what is perhaps the highlight, two double bungalows, constructed from wood in a very contemporary style. These are found by the infinity pool.
All rooms have a hair-dryer and bath and pool towels, as well as tea and coffee-making facilities. There is also an outdoor summer kitchen for the preparation of light meals. Breakfast is a treat, including freshly-baked croissants and breads from a local boulangerie, juice, local honey, jams and compotes, fromage blanc, coffee and tea.
Restaurant:
Meals are taken either in the farmhouse or under the trees out on the terrace. The cooking is comprised of fresh local ingredients, and complimentary wines and local drinks are offered with meals.Painting Holidays
One-week painting holidays are available from April to October, whilst painting days and weekends are available throughout the year on request. All materials are provided, and you can learn and hone your technique in watercolour, pastel, ink and collage. Demonstrations are given and led by the particular interests of participants. All the traditional Provencal hallmarks are in close proximity: olive groves, lavender fields, sunflowers, vineyards, ancient villages, pine and herbs fragrant in the heat. The vibrant colours of the landscape and the variety of light will appeal to painters and to those who simply want to relax in a beautiful setting."Hotel Amenities:

What We Say:
Le Jas du Boeuf is one of those excellent instances of someone turning passion and expertise into their life's work, and it shows! In particular we like the way in which Wendy and Les have applied contemporary design to a traditional building. From the Guestbook:
