This hotel, an 18th century manor in typical French style, was built next to the Château Royal d'Amboise, on the foundations of the mediaeval Minimes Monastery. Comprised of 14 bedrooms, the hotel looks out towards the old château and the Loire river. It is also not far from the centre of the little town of Amboise. Many guests use this as a starting point for exploring what the gigantic Loire valley has to offer, before returning home to the understated good looks of the hotel.

There is a satisfyingly clean design to many of the rooms, the bathrooms being particularly well-designed and spacious too, sometimes juxtaposed nicely with the heavy wooden structure of the original manor building, reminding guests that not only are they getting a contemporary clean style, but they are right in old Pays-de-la-Loire. There are also rooms in the Pavilion.

Various well-known châteaux are within close proximity, and Amboise is also a good central location for visiting vineyards.

Restaurant:

The manor does not have its own restaurant, but this does not pose a problem, its hosts being well-versed in informing guests of local recommendations.

What We Say:

Manoir les Minimes is refined without being pretentious. Although located on the edge of the "Centre" administrative region, the Loire river flows right by the hotel, making Manoir les Minimes clearly a part of the Loire geographic region.

A credit card number and a 30% deposit is required to guarantee a reservation.

Cancellations:

Cancellations should be received in writing at least 21 days before scheduled arrival. In that case there is only a 10% cancellation charge.
For cancellations from 8 to 21 days, the charge is 30% of the stay.
For cancellations from 2 to 7 days, the charge is 70% of the stay.
For cancellations with less than 2 days notice and no-shows, the hotel charges the full amount.
